Question

You are a law student interning at a litigation chamber. The senior advocate asks you to research whether a civil court can grant an interim injunction to stay a decision of a statutory body — for example, an order of a Registrar of Societies cancelling the registration of a society. In 250–400 words, tell us: (a) what legal framework applies, (b) the key question a court will ask before granting such a stay, and (c) one argument that the respondent authority is likely to raise against granting it. You do not need to look anything up. Write from what you already know. If you are not sure of a specific provision, say so and reason from principle.
